The play “MAKE CROATIA GREAT AGAIN” brings an emotional and above all humorous story about two mothers (Marta and Danica) and their two sons (Jerko and Neo) whose destinies collide over the same issue – going to the army. While one mother believes that the army is a way of growing up, discipline and honor, the other strongly opposes it, wanting to protect her son from uniforms and orders. Through their conflicts, conversations and comical situations, the play opens up issues of parental expectations, freedom of choice and generational differences, with a warm dose of humor and recognizable life situations.
Jerko wonders – how to get out of the obligation of military service?
Neo wonders – how can he go to the army, and his mother won’t?
Marta and Danica wonder – how come their sons are so different from the two of them?
But when Donald Trump himself gets involved in the whole mess, the situation becomes alarmingly humorous.
