The city of Krk has entered the fifth season of the year – a time of carnival, joy and great fun for all generations! This year, a carnival tent will be set up on the Krk waterfront, where the local carnival group will host a rich and diverse programme throughout the carnival period.

Carnival festivities officially took over the town last weekend, marked by the ceremonial raising of the carnival flag at Vela placa. On that occasion, Mayor Dario Vasilić handed over the keys of the town to Meštar Keko, symbolically beginning the reign of the carnival.

The carnival celebrations continue until 17 February, when the traditional burning of the pust will bring this joyful period filled with music, dancing and good vibes to a close.
