Do you like being in the fresh air, cultural heritage and socially useful work?
Learn the principles and application of traditional drywall construction techniques and take part in the large-scale renovation of the ‘mrgari’, under the expert guidance of mentors from the “4 grada Dragodid” Association, which will be held as part of the Black Sheep festival, on the 20th and 21st May 2023 in Baška.

There are 10 mrgari on the plateaus above Baška, while another 5 are located on the largest Croatian uninhabited island Prvić, and thanks to the efforts and participation of numerous volunteers, the third in a row is being restored. Maybe the sheep will not return to these stone flowers, but they can be saved from oblivion and thus pay tribute to the effort, pain and ingenuity of their builders!

SATURDAY, 20.05. – restoration of the mrgar on Ljubimer
08:00 – 08:30 – gathering in Zarok at the end of Vela plaža beach and distribution of tools, protective equipment and water to participants
08:30 – departure to Ljubimer
09:30 – education and start of work
11:00 a.m. – break, arrival of participants of the Blak Sheep expedition and ceremonial opening of the renovated sheepfolds
15:00 – completion of work and return to Baška
16:30 – joint lunch for all volunteers and organizers and distribution of certificates of appreciation for participation
SUNDAY 21.05. – restoration of the mrgar in Starošćina
08:30 – 09:00 – gathering at the Baška Municipality building and distribution of tools, protective equipment and water to the participants
09:00 – departure to Starošćina
10:00 – education and start of work
15:00 – completion of works and return to Baška
16:30 – joint lunch for all volunteers and organizers and distribution of certificates of appreciation for participation
