Baška enchants with untouched nature, karst and stone, and rich tradition. The landscapes that surround it are a real lure for walkers and hikers. Join us again this year on the Rocky Hill Hike Tour; which will be held as part of the Baška Outdoor Festival.
We have prepared an interesting hiking route with attractive localities that will not leave anyone indifferent. The hiking trip starts from the center of Baška (Heritage Hotel Forza) in the direction of Zarok and Batomalj, located at the foot of the steep slopes of the western mountain massif of the island. Then follows the ascent towards the source of Lipica and one of the famous Baška ‘mrgari’ – pearls of folk architectural heritage in dry stone masonry.
Arriving at the Vaclav ridge path opens up vistas that reach all four corners of the world. With a view of the Baška Valley, the nearby islands and the Velebit massif, we pass the Veliki Hlam peak (482 m) and descend towards the Vratudih Pass and the Bratinac Pass. From here, there is a descent towards Batomalj and the return to Baška.
